Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Plano - The Colony by IHG

Right next to a Holiday Inn, this Holiday Inn Express exceeded all of my one-night stays recently. Easy to find off the highway/frontage road and close to the myriad attractions of the area such as Hawaiian Waters, the Andretti Kart place, and more (family had a great time at these) Very minimal, simple contemp style of decor without clutter in lobby, breakfast area, hallways, rooms. Bed in my king room was like a cloud with nice linens - I have chronic pain and appreciated this so much. Tv worked great. Loved the chaise lounge for reading and relaxing, which was my main focus. Outlet strip by bed easy to reach and efficient for charging and for my medical device. Plenty of lighting. Bathroom super new, modern and absolutely spotless with those things I really appreciate such as an exhaust fan, sturdy grab-bar in shower, no gunky baseboards, and mirror lighting. Fast elevator. Pleasant staff. Quite an empty hotel but that was a bonus!

great location, very knowledgeable staff, able to help with all requests, I needed coins for laundry, they gave change and if they were out they suggested other nearby merchants and ATM’s to get funds. I came down without my key they provided another one promptly and with a smile. I added a day to my room and they did it all with ease. The service/ cleaning room provided anything extra, like coffee k cups, I requested! I love, love, love the blackout shade so no outside light either natural or electric interrupted my sleep.

The breakfast buffet was incredible! There was a variety of options and I loved the different types of sausages and breads. My husband loved the different types of eggs. The wonderful coffee saved my day!!! The staff was so friendly and quickly refreshed dwindling items..

The Location is great, the Hotel and Rooms were clean, and the rooms are spacious.
